The Remakers

What we call Remaking.

As a joint initiative of umdasch Store Makers Construction and formwerk, we develop integrated transformation solutions for sophisticated existing properties.

 

A network of experts, visionaries and makers work together on innovative, holistic approaches to the sustainable revitalisation of properties. We transform office buildings into senior living flats and shopping centres into mixed-use properties - from existing properties to sustainable, high-yield uses.

Actively shaping climate protection
Reducing resource consumption, minimising CO₂ emissions and soil sealing: instead of sealing new areas, we preserve and optimise existing structures – a significant contribution to greater sustainability in construction. This results in properties that are both ecologically and economically sustainable.
Flexible room utilisation
Social and economic change is transforming how we use spaces: working environments are becoming more hybrid, retail is becoming more experience-oriented, and living space is becoming scarcer. We create solutions that preserve the character of the building while integrating contemporary functions.

Renovations in line with ESG standards not only increase energy efficiency, but also the attractiveness and market value of properties. With The Remakers, we develop holistic strategies to harmonise ecological, social and economic criteria – and thus make properties future-proof and eligible for subsidies.
